THE PERCEPTIONS OF DEREK ROGERS

Derek Rogers in Hackney, London on his 24th birthday, 30th May 2011
Introduction (Please Read Carefully)
My name is Derek Rogers, I was born in 1987 and I have High Functioning Autism. My website is called ‘The Perceptions Of Derek Rogers’ and I came up with the name after I was watching an episode of ‘University Challenge’ in 2008 where the ‘Lincoln College, Oxford’ team captain gave a correct answer to a bonus question and the answer was ‘The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari’ which apparently is a 1920 horror film. I can’t actually remember what the bonus question was but I decided to come up with a name for my website which sounded similar.
There are 11 sections on this website, some of which have got links that take you to Wikipedia, YouTube, Amazon, and even play.com if you click on them. The links that take you to Wikipedia are in blue, the links that take you to YouTube are in red, the links that take you to Amazon are in green, and the links that take you to play.com are in pink, so it should be easy for you to know which ones they are and I’ve also underlined them. There is also one link on my website that takes you to another person’s website that’s highlighted in orange.
Also I had Art lessons in Brightlingsea from the 12th of January 2007 to the 8th of September 2011 and two of my website’s sections feature some of my art work that I had done in that time. I could have stuck with it but I associate having art lessons with this dark phase that I had from the 17th of September 2004 to the 21st of May 2010 and I’m aiming to move away from that dark phase completely. Anyway I hope you enjoy reading my website as much as I enjoy working on it. You will need to read my sections carefully though, however I wouldn’t expect anyone to read all of them in one go, and I certainly would never expect anyone to view all of the links in one go.
